For the first time at a UK Polo match Cowdray Park will be displaying team and horse information on a large LED screen at this years final of the Gold Cup. The teams , players and their numbers will be displayed as they line up then the horses names will be displayed by the minute as and when the teams change. The spectators will be given an information sheet with all of the team, horse, breeding, breeder, owners on it as well as other information.

Quest for the perfect polo pony….

Polostudbook has been created in the UK in order to help enhance and improve the quality and value of the polo pony breed. By registering polo ponies online at Polo Studbook, which requires unique DNA verification, we are able to build correctly tabulated bloodlines. This documentation will allow the polo world to search for any UK registered polo pony, its pedigree and the vital breeding information which is attached to it, as recorded within the Polo Studbook’s data. In time Polo Studbook will prove invaluable to the breeder, owner, patron, player and sport as a whole.

Polo Studbook is carefully governed by a select committee who are truly passionate about the polo pony breed. They will help compile the various ways of classifying Breeders, Stallions and Mares by forming individual tables of merit. As Polo Studbook develops, the committee will also help organise the various awards needed to promote and reward all aspects of the polo breeding industry through Best Playing Pony Awards, Breeder’s Prizes etc.
